At this time last year, almost to the minute, Joe Wilson was embarrassing himself and his constituents by shouting at the Commander-in-Chief during a joint session of Congress. The response was swift: Republicans, Democrats and Independents stood together demanding that he apologize, and your community was the key to a grassroots movement that grew to over 40,000 Americans who were willing to give money-- that all too often they didn’t have-- to replace Joe’s partisan games with a new generation of leadership.
Joe called the White House to apologize-- but like my son years ago (when he was six), he apparently doesn’t understand what "sorry" is supposed to mean. Within hours, Joe was gloating and raised more than $2 million telling his supporters that he "wouldn’t be muzzled."
